Tumon Beach

The boys are pumping themselves up to go for a swim.

S is getting more comfortable with the beach, though you can't really tell it from the video. He isn't completely repulsed by the sand anymore, and he ventures into the water unassisted... scary! He toddled into the water and was loving it until a wave came and knocked him over. Daddy was there to help him back up while he coughed away the water he swallowed... then he was fine and splashed around some more. He smiles and talks to the people that walk by while we're playing. And he was mesmerized by a dog that was relaxing near us.

Grandma L, I know I told you about this video awhile ago... sorry it took so long for me to put it on here!

Afternoon Outing

We hopped in the car after S's nap and went to Two Lovers Point.  There is some Guam legend about two people who were in love but couldn't be together... I guess like Romeo and Juliet, so they tied their hair together and jumped off the cliff.  We decided not to tie our hair together OR jump off the cliff, but we did take some pictures and checked out the pretty view.

D and S also played a little peek-a-boo around the picnic area.  Then we couldn't resist putting Sammy's face on the Chamorro warrior.  I think he looks pretty tough :)

new camera

My big present for my birthday was a really nice camera.  It takes really great pictures, and once I figure out how to use it maybe I'll take some great pictures.  These are a few that I took the first couple of days I got it...

Happy Birthday to Me!

D surprised me by petitioning lots of friends and family to send me a birthday card to make sure I felt loved just in case he wasn't back by my birthday.  He laid out all the cards the morning of my birthday for me to open and read; I was really surprised and overwhelmed.  Thank you to everyone who sent me love on my birthday; it was very special!
He also surprised me with a super yummy Cold Stone ice cream cake that we definitely over-indulged in!
In the afternoon we took S to the beach for a little fun in the sun.  We splashed around, and he smiled and flirted with some of the other babies on the beach.  After we put S to bed the neighbors came over to sit with him while we went out to continue the celebration.  We went to a yummy Japanese restaurant and over-indulged again.  We each had a tray filled with different yummy items.  Everything was delicious.  Thanks for a wonderful birthday sweet husband!
