First Day of Pre-K and Halloween

One more picture to catch up.  This was S's first day of preschool picture.  Every time we ask him what he wants to be when he grows up, he says he wants to be everything and do everything when he grows up.  I guess he can't narrow it down just yet.
Here are our cuties for Halloween.  P wanted to be the tiger costume we already had and S picked Mario.  He has quite the Mario obsession these days.  He is always asking me if he can play Mario now. The boys had just gotten over being sick for about a week and a half if you're noticing the red rash above P's lip.
Getting their faces painted at the Harvest Party.
Rosy cheeks! And he loves the mustache!
The boys got warheads at some of the game stations they played.  They asked D to eat one...
S thought that looked like fun, so he had to try one too... I didn't catch his pucker face... but his wasn't nearly as dramatic as D's.  If you look closely you can see his eyes are starting to water up... I think P ended up eating one later in the evening.

S's 5th birthday

S picked bowling for his 5th birthday party.  It turned out awesome b/c we had it on a weekday and no one else was in the bowling alley.  They boys could play and be as silly as they wanted.  Here's the happy birthday boy:
 Some of his friends:
My mom was in town for the occasion:
He picked out the John Deere birthday cake... and had to bring his hat... he also wore his boots, but he was wearing bowling shoes at this point.
 Happy Birthday to You!
Being goofy in the photo booth! Little P... the camera is over here!

Our last day with the A's

Some of our best buddies just moved away. 'tear' This was our last day to play with them.  We will miss  them for sure!
Right before they loaded up in the car.  Bye friends!

more fun with cousins from the summer

Here they are with B and Mema.  We took them to the candy store I worked at when I was in high school and let them pick out a few treats.  They each picked out a huge lollipop for one of their treats.

 Swimming to stay cool.
I think this was the last day of VBS.  P didn't go, but he had a shirt anyway.
Hanging out with our other cousins.  We had such a good time!

The USS Batfish

Near Tahlequah there is an old submarine.  The USS Batfish.  We took the boys over to check it out.  D tried to convince the boys to climb in the torpedo tube, but neither of them wanted to get in.
The boys enjoyed climbing thru the hatches.
 Pulling on levers.
Posing by the Guam sign. All in all it was a fun adventure.

catching up from the summer

I guess it's been awhile since I've posted.  The pictures have been trapped in my camera all summer!
 The boys on Father's Day.
Swimming and Grandma and Papa's for the 4th.

The reason I don't get in the pool on the 4th... someone is always trying to shoot someone else in the face with water.  It must be really fun b/c they do it every year!
The cousins got to spend a few days together.

Enjoying opening his presents.  He had a wonderful day!
Grandma and PawPaw were here to celebrate with us, somehow they escaped my camera.  That night we went to a baseball game.  Can't believe he's 3!

Awards Night

We did our first year of Awana this year.  S did a great job learning all of his Bible verses.
Here is just a little glimpse classic S attitude :) So excited to get his award, but publicly acting too cool for school... dropping his award 2 seconds later... gotta love that boy!

Lumpia, Laura, Easter and Veggie Garden

My cousin L came for a visit.  We made one of our favorite foods, Lumpia.  I tried to make Crispy Fried Noodles too, but that didn't turn out.  It was her birthday the weekend she came, so we got to celebrate that with her.  Ice Cream Pie, yum!

Ring toss at our Easter Egg Hunt and Carnival.
 P with his Easter eggs.
Balloon creations.  Not sure what he has going on there with the hat, but it looks fun!
We built a garden!  I made all the boys show me their muscles.  Thanks Ben for helping!

We had a little leftover wood, so we built a mini garden for the boys behind the shed.  Go girls!
 Happy Easter!

Seuss-a-thon

Here is a project I saw on pinterest, similar to crayon resist painting.  I put black paint in the glue, the boys wanted pictures of geckos.  So we drew those and waited for them to dry overnight and painted them with water colors the next day.  Turned out nice.  Too bad I didn't take a picture of them when they were done.

And here we are after the Seuss-a-thon at the library. P thought he was looking good... this outfit was his own creation after we got home.  He did not wear these too small pajama pants and too big shoes in public!  Those are some shoes I got him for $5 a few days ago for next fall, but he wants to wear them all the time now.
S with another one of his cool poses and a peppermint.
 My two favorite boys!
I got him to move that mint! There's his good looking face!  Do you see one side of his face looking a little different than the other?  It's a little hard to tell in this picture, but S is beginning to do this half-smile thing.   Where does he come up with this stuff?
