DoodleBug's 1st Birthday!

P's first birthday! One of his nicknames is DoodleBug, so we had a buggy birthday.
Singing happy birthday to him.
Big bro and mommy helping blow out the candle.
Waiting for his cake. And then destroying the hat as soon as mommy left the room.
Ok, so this is birthday cake...
First, I will touch it, and see if it meets my approval...
Then I will lick it a little bit...
Then I'll throw most of it on the floor, and my big bro will eat some while I'm looking at my balloon...
I will rub it all over my face...
S will help me eat some... Then mommy will take me out back and wash me off.
P posing with his birthday presents.
S playing in the sprinkler with JP and E.
and having a little drink... thanks Mr. M.

Badlands and Mount Rushmore

We went on our first family vacation over Memorial Day weekend. We ventured north to South Dakota. Our first stop was Badlands National Park. It reminded me of the painted desert if you've ever been there.
S relaxing in the car as we drove towards the prairie dog stop. He was enjoying having the windows down.
On one side of the car was the mountainous badlands, and on the other was miles and miles of grassland. This is part of the prairie dog field. S and I kept trying to get close to them, but they would duck down in their holes. Just beyond the prairie dogs were bison.
Me and P in front of the badlands.
D and S.
Here we are just below Mount Rushmore. We exchanged taking family pictures with another family.
All of my boys. P was having too much fun, and S wasn't sure about that.

Me trying to be creative with my picture. Oklahoma flag and Mount Rushmore.
All of the flag columns had the state names on them, so we took each of the boys pictures with the state they were born in... ok, so Guam isn't a state, but they still had it represented.

Our little Guamanian.
Our first night on vacation checking out the hotel pool. The boys didn't really enjoy the pool, but the both loved the hot-tub. That pool water was a little too cold for us!
