Since Christmas

We took the boys skiing for the first time.  There is a "mountain" about 30 minutes away.  P practiced on the little hill all day. He would ski down, take off his ski's, pick them up and give them to me, walk back up the hill, and do it all again.
S left his coat at home... fortunately, they had one that we were able to borrow for the day.  He practiced on the little hill until daddy decided he was ready to go on the "mountain." He wasn't ready. First trip down... lots of crying.  Pep talk with mom in the bathroom.  More practice.  Second trip down, just a little whining and lots of help from daddy. Warm up in lodge with mommy while daddy takes a break from helping our little skiers... daddy goes up the lift and ski's down faster than it took him to get up to the top.  More practice.  Mommy suggests they go up one more time... S takes off down the "mountain" leaving daddy chasing behind yelling: "stop, sit down, stop, sit down!!!!" S makes it down in no time, and does a few hops at the end to celebrate.  He loves it!  Then as we're returning our gear he lets us know that he already knows how to ski, and next time he wants to snowboard!
Some of our friends are from Poland.  I saw an article in an old Taste of Home magazine about a tradition of having a butter lamb on their table at Easter.  Something about symbolizing the Lamb of God and the richness of Christ.  I thought it would be fun to try and make one of these cute little butter lambs and give it to them for Easter... I think it turned out pretty cute!
And here are the boys doing an Easter Egg hunt.  Not sure how many time they hunted Easter Eggs... they love it.  They hid them for each other.  Gana and Mema hid eggs for them while they were here... It's June and they just got the eggs out a few days ago put candy in them and hid them for each other again!
 Their own little personalities :)
With daddy - love my boys!

Christmas with the cousins

We tried for a little while to get them all to stand up, smile, and look towards the camera... I think we got  a pretty good one!  Grandma, I uploaded this one large, so hopefully you can click on it somehow and download it to your computer.

Thanksgiving 2012

The boys helped me decorate the turkey cookies this year.  I relinquished control of the situation and let them have at it.  They were very focused with each cookie they did:
And they had a good time being silly... I guess dad was the chief of this operation...
very focused... and I don't remember letting his hair grow this long...
Buttoning his shirt all by himself while getting ready for our Thanksgiving company to come:
Look how high I can jump mom!
S telling us he is big enough to take a picture... He did a pretty good job!

Great Wolf Lodge

In November we made our second trip to the Great Wolf Lodge.  S loved it the first time, so we thought we would give it another go.  The boys were pumped!  They couldn't wait to get in the water!

P didn't think it was quite as fun once he actually got it... He thought it was cold and a little scary... mostly cold.  He had a blast playing in the huge hot tub.
S enjoyed the slides over and over and over and over again.  After going solo on this one, he and dad went down the larger ones together.
