Happy 4th

We spent the 4th down in Oklahoma. It was a blast. The boys got to shoot off their own fireworks this year... I mean we lit them and they watched from a few feet away. S really got into it. P wasn't so sure about all of it.
P did enjoy the wagon ride compliments of S.
Sparklers. Pretty much a box of endless entertainment.
P preferred his sparkler unlit... and uses it like a golf club.
Bubbles!
The boys with their Gana.
Displaying their patriotism.
And playing dress-up in some of daddy's clothes. They thought this was the best!

Cousins Visit

We recently had some family come for a visit... let's just say all the kids thought it was a really great weekend. We went bowling... S was being tough...
The lovely shoes.
We checked out some missile statues.
Muscles, yell... I guess that's the new pose for pictures.
Someone's been practicing. :) We are excited that someone in the family is continuing on with the tennis tradition.
Climbing on the playground.

Sliding on big slides.

Eskimo Joe shirts.
More playing in water. Clearly this is the main activity we do at our house in the summer. I should count how many blogs I have with my kids soaked in the back yard.
Trying to spray each other and take the hose away from each other.
Nothing quite like scootering with cowboy boots on... he was playing in the sprinkler with the boots on too until I suggested he take them off and save them for later.
Mr. Blue Eyes :)

Somebody Special Turned 2!

He had a very fun birthday. He had several phone calls wishing him Happy Birthday. By the 3rd call he started singing Happy Birthday with the people calling him... so adorable with his sweet little baby boy voice. Here he is opening his first toy present of the day...
And big bro had to help a little bit... it's a swimming pool! Unfortunately, P didn't want to play in it with everyone else around, so hopefully when it's just him and S he will think it's fun!
Our friends brought a slip and slide to go along with the pool... D had to slide down and show them how it's done to get the party started. After they saw how to do it, they dove right in and thought it was a blast!
S taking the dive.
Another friend braving the cold spray.
Sliding down together.
A little party guest enjoying the pool alone while the big kids did the slip and slide.
The neighbor girls the boys play with frequently gave him t-ball. Both of the boys love it.
And the Elmo cake returns for another second birthday!
Blowing out the candles... pretty sure he had some help from friends.
D's favorite picture of the night... Woody has partied too hard and had too much cake and ice cream.

visiting family

Here are the boys with their cousin. It is hard to get three little ones to look at the camera and smile!
D trying out his brothers little motor bike.
D's brother and family. They are expecting little O in July!
My mema with the boys playing "earrings." She brings her old broken earrings and they throw them down the stairs and then climb down and retrieve them... then do it all again... how little it takes to amuse them sometimes!
Croquet... this with the shirts makes me smile :)
Playing with Uncle P. S thought Uncle P was a really fun and funny guy! The two of them were cracking jokes the whole time they played together!
